"I used to spend a lot of time driving. I enjoyed my time in the car—it was my moment to reflect, to go through things, and think about situations and myself. It was always important to me that the car smelled nice, that the air was clean and pleasant. It made me feel good. I bought countless car fresheners, tried an endless array of scents, and was rarely satisfied. It bothered me how overpowering the smell was at first, and disappear completely after a few days. And how greasy those air fresheners were—I had to be careful they didn't touch any part of the dashboard.
